This is a test for updating the Grubworks blog via Blackberry. Pretty hi-tech for someone at the upper end of Gen-X. My daughter will be prowd that Dad figured this out all by himself. Or she will just resent that she doesn’t have a mobile data plan, and I do.

Anyway, all part of the preparations for Spring.

Congrats to Phil Sundbaum and Andrew Taylor….. the new members of the Adiridas team. For more info check out SUMMER OF SHRED. Aaron Lutze of Matchvideozine / Summer of Shred has been busy the last couple years getting the word out on these guys and it looks as if they are finally getting their due this year. AT had a great year last year and placed very well at some of the worlds most prestigious slopestyle competitions as well as being featured on the Drop In Season 5 road trip.  Phil was the featured rider on Summer of Shred DVD and traveled all over the place, oh yeah,dont forget about Phil’s killer park segment on Northwest Dirt Culture III – Endub Empire.

Anyway, I see hope for big things this year for both. Stoked for both of them.

Hopefully the weather allows for a complete race schedule. Last year the snow pack at Mt Hood forced the majority of the early season races to be short course, or moved to PA. Also the snow and saturated ground only allowed limited construction for the dual-slalom course at Skibowl.

I know that ODS has been cutting trails and building like crazy at Dry Hill (PA). With the momentum of a very successful inaugural race series, the 2009 Fluidride Cup will only be bigger and better. The addition of a stop at Silver Mountain will be benneficial to both the series and to Silver Mountain. Adding more venues to the series, especially ones on the east side help to make this a true Northwest series.
